Discontinued HP TouchPad selling fast

Since HP announced it was bowing out of the PC business and discontinuing the HP TouchPad, a number of retailers have been moving remaining stock by slashing prices.

The 16GB TouchPad was dramatically cut to a bargain price of £89 while the 32GB version was being sold at £115. Despite the impending discontinuation of HP's tablet, HP have confirmed they will continue to support WebOS for now. Also some developers have turned their attention to getting Android on the TouchPad which would extend the lifespan further.

Despite all this, the price makes it worth the small outlay as a product for email, web browsing and video. Many seem to have agreed with this approach as TouchPad sales have surged following the price cut.
