Yep, you read it right, Grand Theft Auto 3 has landed in the Mac App store for £10.49. It is a 705 MB download and early reports are indicating it is running beautifully, ie without bugs from the translation process.

If like me you still have the original PC CD-ROM version and are hoping to be able to install the Mac version natively at no extra cost, you may be out of luck. That said I am looking in to whether this is possible and will update as soon as I know. If you haven't previously owned GTA3, this is a bargain and the game has a feel to it that more recent titles like San Andreas and GTA 4 somehow lack.
