New iPhone to be announced on September 10th?

A report on AllThingsD suggests that Apple will be holding a media event on September 10th to announce the new iPhone. It is widely expected that Apple will follow the naming pattern and the new iPhone will likely be called the 5S.

There have also been a large number of rumours that Apple will be releasing a lower cost iPhone with a coloured plastic rear shell along side the 5S. Of course these are just rumours, but given the quantity of reports and alleged leaks of parts etc, it does add some weight to the reports.
